l NGIS Functions
NGIS is a national geographic information system. The system can incorporate graphics over-ground and under-ground, such as topography, geology, hydrology and land registration, and attributes such as text and signs, into the computerized database. Each competent authority can overlap relating graphics together that concern its issues to access, process and analyze the spatial information from the database. These issues include traffic network plan, house number plan, natural resources plan, public pipelines plan, urban construction plan and other similar plans. The information system is able to provide bases for all agencies to consult, manage, plan and decide how to use land well, therefore, it is also one of the indispensible decision-making information sources for the government and private sector.
